Do I need to prepare a deposit slip?

No, the system does this for you automatically.

Does Bank of Kansas Check Capture convert a check into an ACH?

Not currently, but availability of this feature is planned for the 2nd quarter of 2007.

Does Bank of Kansas Check Capture enable better funds availability?

It may if your current deposit process and schedule keeps you from meeting bank cut-off times or making deposits promptly. However, the same rules regarding funds availability apply to both remote and in-person deposits.

How do I change my password?

Login to the Bank of Kansas Check Capture WebClient to change your password. This function is not available in the SmartClient.

How do I logoff from the Bank of Kansas Check Capture SmartClient?

There is no need to logoff. Simply exit the application by clicking “File” and then “Exit” or by clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner of the Window.

How many items can I go back and review?

The Bank of Kansas Check Capture system stores the 5,000 most recently scanned items for your review.

What if I make a mistake and enter the incorrect amount for a deposit?

The Bank of Kansas Check Capture system reads the amounts on the checks and balances them against the deposit total you entered. In the case of a discrepancy, you will have the opportunity to correct the amount because only deposits that balance will transmit.

What if my scanner status is not "Ready"?

Verify that the scanner is powered on and properly connected to the PC that serves as your scanning station. If so, login to the SmartClient and use the following procedure to get the scanner in ready mode:

Click “Tools” on the menu at the top of the screen
Select “Scanner Information”.
Click the “Reset Scanner” button.

Will we receive a confirmation e-mail message from Bank of Kansas for items we deposit through Bank of Kansas Check Capture?

Yes. Contact the Bank of Kansas Business Client Services group to setup the list of recipients for this e-mail confirmation message.
